Rossotti Ranch goats are raised specifically for meat production on a one hundred percent grass fed program and are free of any hormones or antibiotics. Julie and Tony use a rotational grazing program that produces the most sustainable benefit out of the land and the animals. In addition to their meat, the goats also play an integral role in browsing invasive thistles, weeds, and shrubs on the ranches certified organic pasture land.
Currently Rossotti Ranch has over a hundred African Boer Goats on a fifty acre ranch in Petaluma and on the historic H Ranch in Point Reyes, which are both known for the cool coastal climate that is perfect for raising livestock.
Goat meat is the most widely consumed meat in the world. The combined health benefits of goat meat, being very high in protein and low in cholesterol, has contributed to its popularity — and it is catching on quickly in the US and especially here locally in the Bay Area. Learn more about goat here.
